Publication ethicsVoprosy obrazovaniya / Educational Studies Moscow is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against malpractice. The Editorial Board reserves the right to categorically reject any and all work that does not conform to the journal’s ethical standards. Copyright policy Work submitted to the journal should not have been published previously, nor should it be under consideration for publication elsewhere. By submitting work to the journal, authors thereby acknowledge that they have disclosed any and all actual or potential conflicts of interest regarding authorship and publication of the work in question. Moreover, by submitting work authors thereby confirm that they will indemnify the journal against the consequences of any breach of intellectual property rights. For the purposes of facilitating the publication and distribution of the journal, Voprosy obrazovaniya / Educational Studies Moscow retains ownership of the copyright to any material published therein except when other arrangements are agreed upon in writing. Permission to reproduce material protected by copyright Authors wishing to reproduce tables, figures, charts, images, excerpts of text amounting to over 400 words, or any other portion of copyright protected work should formally secure written permission to do so prior to submitting the manuscript in question. Failure to secure permission in advance could significantly delay the publication process. The journal will not publish any material for which permission is pending. Citation policies All materials, words and ideas that originate in another text must be cited, and the source must appear in the bibliography. This goes not only for tables, charts, images, graphs and other such material, but also for the following:
Self plagiarism policy Voprosy obrazovaniya / Educational Studies Moscow requires that authors sign a form confirming that their work has not been published previously. If certain elements of an author’s work have been published before, including in an earlier issue of Voprosy obrazovaniya / Educational Studies Moscow, the author is required to acknowledge the previous publication and indicate how the newer text differs from and builds upon it. General plagiarism policies The Editorial Board of Voprosy obrazovaniya / Educational Studies Moscow seeks to uphold the strictest standards of academic integrity and protects the rights of authors and copyright holders. The journal takes all cases of plagiarism very seriously. The Editorial Board follows as strict procedure for dealing with allegations of plagiarism, with sound awareness of how damaging such allegations can be to a researcher’s career. Thus, in order to ensure an unbiased response to allegations of plagiarism, the Editorial Board investigates each case thoroughly, seeking clarification from all affected parties: 1. For any accusation of plagiarism, we seek a response from the original author(s) or copyright holder(s) before deciding on a course of action. 2. All decisions will be as unbiased and objective as possible, without any influence from interested parties. 3. The Editorial Board is not obliged to discuss cases of alleged plagiarism with third parties. 4. The Editorial Board reserves the right not to pursue cases if the plaintiff provides false information about his or her identity or affiliation or if s/he acts in an inappropriate or threatening manner toward the journal’s staff.
